xMatters Message Units

xMatters provides you with a current rate table for messaging costs used in our software as a service and platform as a service offerings.  In general clients purchase message units in advance (or may pay as you go) to maintain a balance and reduce the costs of the messages sent. We try to find least cost, yet “telco-provider-quality” services for our clients so this table is subject to change as the costs of the services improve.  Please contact us for more information. Message units may be carried from period to period. Free message unit promotions if granted, are generally not transferable or carried forward from month to month or quarter to quarter depending on the promotion.

The current message unit definition is as follows:

SMS Text North America* 1 unit each way
SMS Text Western Europe** 2 units each way
All other counties worldwide 3 units each way
Network Paging, worldwide 1 unit each way
iPhone Push, worldwide 0.5 units each way
e-Mail, worldwide Free, tell a friend!
Voice calls, North America* 1 unit every 30 seconds
Voice calls, Western Europe** 1.5 units every 30 seconds
Voice calls, rest of world 2.0 units every 30 second
Conference calls, North America* 2 units every 30 seconds per attendee
Conference calls, Western Europe** 2.5 units every 30 seconds per attendee
Conference calls, rest of the world 5 units every 30 seconds per attendee

Message units are sold in prepaid discounted packages or pay as you go rates which are billed monthly in areas based on actual usage.  Each invoice is due and payable net 30 days, 1.5% penalty applies for late payments.  Prepaid unused message units are non-refundable.  Conference calls are billed using the voice call rate, for each caller, based on the region they are calling from.

Territory Definition:

  • North America* includes the 50 United States and Canada
  • Western Europe** includes Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark and Finland
